These are simple strategies to defeat Grixis Tinypop for the Family Familiar achievement. You can only fight these trainers when their World Quest is available. These strategies assume all of your pets are level 25 and of Rare quality.
Other Family Familiar Guides:
Master Tamer Flummox
Rip. Blood in the Water. Surge until Gulp dies. Get a last Surge in on the second pet before it kills you. Cast Rip, then Blood in the Water. Surge. The enemy will swap his pet out. Cast Rip. Chuck should go down at this point. Slippery Ice, and Ice Lance until the enemy is dead.
Feathered Frenzy. Quills until first enemy pet dies. Use Rake, Feathered Frenzy, then spam Quills until Kitten is used up. You may be able to solo first two pets with Kitten. If you make it to the third, just use up Kitten. The enemy pets will also switch out at some point. Bring in Netherpup for Red Wire. Howl. Darkflame. Spam Bite. For Eggcellent, Rake, then Barrel Toss twice. It’s a bit out of order because the enemy pet will Feign Death.
Maintain Shell Shield and use Peck until first enemy pet dies. Do the same against second enemy, which will use Feign Death about midway through. Keep up Shell Shield and use Peck until it is killed off. Bring in Crispin. Use Crouch on cooldown, keep up Flamethrower, and fill with Burn. When your pet dies, bring in Wolpertinger. Use Rampage to finish up the last enemy pet.
Arcane Storm. Mana Surge. Get in a Tail Sweep if you can, but the second enemy pet will probably kill Whelpling first. Bring in Golden, and Claw until enemy uses Feign Death. Flamethrower. Conflagrate. Flamethrower. Use up Golden. Bring in Red. Rake. Claw until enemy dies.
Lightning Shield. Rip. Blood in the Water. Rip. Switch to Pup. Howl. Burrow. Scratch if needed to finish him off. Try to get in a Howl on the next pet before Pup dies. Bring in Snowman. Call Blizzard. Howling Blast. Snowball until enemy dies.
Teroclaw Hatchling (2, 2, 2)
Any 2 flyers as backup
Dodge first round and on cooldown. Nature’s Ward second. Keep Nature’s Ward up at all times. Fill with Alpha Strike. You can solo the whole fight with this one pet as long as you do not get polymorphed by the first pet. If you do, start over.
If your Idol is faster than the enemy pet, use Sandstorm first and then Crush, otherwise use Crush first and Sandstorm second. Crush two more times. Deflection. Crush. Switch out to your Imp when the first enemy pet dies. Spam Rush until enemy pet uses Feign Death. When Red Wire comes out, spam Burn. When Imp dies, bring out Helper. Use Blizzard, Ice Tomb, then spam Ice Lance. When Red Wire dies and Eggcellent comes back out, your Idol will be the last pet standing, so use Sandstorm, then Crush.
Use Flash and Light, in that order, when they come off cooldown. Arcane Explosion as filler. When Wisp dies, bring in Pup. Use Bite, Consume Corpse if needed, and Nether Gate when Eggcellent uses Feign Death. When Pup dies, bring in Abyssal. Use Immolation and Immolate until the enemy is dead.
Flyby. Thunderbolt. Spam Flyby until Gulp is done with his third round of Stampede, then use Decoy. Spam Flyby until he dies. Use up what you can on the second pet. Bring out Raptor. Exposed Wounds. Overtune. Batter. Keep the Overtune buff up at all times. Exposed Wounds again on Red Wire. Spam Batter. When Raptor dies, bring out Gnome. Use Build Turret and spam Railgun.
Lift-Off. Use Slicing Wind until Gulp dies. If you are polymorphed, restart the fight. Keep using Slicing Wind on the second pet until your Undead round, then use Ghostly Bite. Bring in Bear. Roar. Maul. Hibernate. When Red Wire comes out, Roar. Maul until your Undead round, then use Roar. Bring in Spider. Poison Spit, then Leech Life. When Egcellent comes back in, Poison Spit and Leech Life until he dies.
