Odrogg Strategies for Family Familiar
These are simple strategies to defeat Odrogg for the Family Familiar achievement. You can only fight these trainers when their World Quest is available. These strategies assume all of your pets are level 25 and of Rare quality.

Master Tamer Flummox
Note for this fight: The first pet uses Stone Form when it gets to about 1/3 health and heals up to full. Use basic attacks first, then use your big moves AFTER Stone Form is on cooldown! The second pet will ALWAYS Headbutt on its second turn, so a Dodge pet is good for that, as well as the third pet’s Dive. Do NOT pick attacks that have several hits in one round (like Triple Snap) for the first pet because you will take damage for each individual strike. Take one-strike attacks like Bite.
This strategy is easy. Just keep Shell Shield up, Healing Wave on cooldown, and fill with Snap for the whole fight.
Once, again incredibly easy. Pick three critters with strong Beast damage, of which there are many. Anything with Bite, Thrash, etc will work well. Just spam those basic attacks until you win. I DO recommend using a Nibbles if you have him, because his Howl plus Bite is a great combo on this fight.
As before, there are plenty of Dragonkin with Beast abilities. Picking any one and spamming any basic Beast attack will get you the win. What I did was pick an Untamed Hatchling (1, 1, 2), a Chrominius (1, 1, 1), and a Lanticore Spawnling (1, x, 1). The Roar + Claw combo works really well, as does Howl + Ravage.
Start out with a few Claws. When Rocklick casts Stone Form, just pass for a couple turns until it’s over, then use Prowl, and spam Claw. Do the same when the second pet comes out until Kitten dies. Bring out Pup. The Howl + Thrash combo is great, and use Burrow on cooldown. You may not even need your Razortooth, but use Devour on cooldown and use Rip if you do need him.
You have some good options here. There are lots of flying pet with Beast abilities. I picked Teroclaw Hatchling (1, 2, 1), Twilight Wasp (2, x, 2), and Amberbarb Wasp (2, x, 2). Any wasp is good for this fight. I just switched off between Bite and Ravage.
There’s a good amount of Humanoids with Beast abilities. I chose:
Spam Bite until the first pet goes down. Dodge on the second pet’s second turn, then spam Bite. Get as far as you can on the second before bringing out Flayer. Use Triple Snap on cooldown, and Deflection the round after the enemy pet uses Shell Shield (it always uses Headbutt after Shell Shield). If you get to the third pet with Flayer, use Deflection after it uses Dive. Rampage. You may not even need the Wolf, but if you do, Dodge after it uses Dive, Howl + Claw.
Soulrush. Arcane Blast four times. Soulrush. Surge of Power. Arcane Blast. Once Slow Moe comes out, Soulrush then Arcane Blast until your Manafiend dies. Bring in Eye. Drain Power. Mana Surge. Focused Beams. Drain Power. Focused Beams. Mana Surge. If you need to bring out Libram, Inner Vision, then spam Arcane Blast.
Exposed Wounds. Spam Bite. Try to get an Exposed Wounds on Slow Moe if you can, then Bite till your Raptor dies. Bring in Destroyer. Use Supercharge on cooldown and spam Thrash. Do the same for Snot. Cub is backup.
Cursed Birman (1, 2, 1)
Fossilized Hatchling (1, 1, x)
Risen Saber Kitten (2, 1, 1)Pounce twice. Spirit Spikes. Devour. Pounce. Devour. Pounce. Devour. Pass if you get stunned. Bring in Hatchling. Spam Claw and use Ancient Blessing when you get low on health. Do the same for Snot. Kitten is for backup.
